Reference request issues

Unstick a reference request, stop an advocate from being contacted too often, and clear a permission denied message when a seller tries to send the request.

A blocked request is often ProvenTen doing its job: consent missing, a contact cap, or a role that cannot see the advocate.

Checklist

  1. Open the advocate record. Is consent active for the kind of request you are making (call vs. quote vs. logo)?
  2. Check the contact cap and recent request history. If they were asked last week, wait.
  3. Confirm your role. Sellers cannot override expired consent.
  4. If the request sits on a librarian for approval, ping that person — do not create a parallel email thread.
